Sacrament of Confirmation

Currently, all sessions are scheduled in person.  We ask our youth to attend the 5 pm Sunday Mass and join our classes promptly from 6:00 pm until approximately 8:15 pm. We will have a monthly Mass for all our Confirmation youth to attend. 

Fees: $60 Confirmation -(Registered Parishioner)
           $70 (Non-Prince of Peace registered parishioner )

2 Retreats + 1day Sponsor retreat  for our 2nd yr(1 being overnight)  and minimum of 1 for our 1st yr Confirmandi ( we recommend our teens attend  all retreats)

Program Hours: 6 pm Mass -8:15 pm
 ( We encourage our youth to participate in our 5 pm Sunday Mass and all days of Holy Obligation).

Program Description: Two-year program with regular attendance as long as all  requirements are met

Registration Requirements: 

>Registered Parishioners at Prince of Peace

>Complete two full years  (typically -Freshman/ Sophomore) of the Confirmation Program

>Must provide a record of Baptism upon registration to the Confirmation Program

>Should attend Sunday Mass regularly and Holy Days of Obligation

>>Commit to attending two retreats/& Sponsor retreat, for 2nd year, with 1 overnight and 1 for 1st year Confirmandi.
 >Attend our once-a-month Sunday 5 pm Small Group Mass per calendar.

Payment of program fees- $60 Registered Prince of Peace Parishoner
 $70 for Non-Registered Parishoner 

Other details:

Our Confirmation faith formation consists of weekly catechesis, fellowship, prayer, and praise. As a Parish subscribing to Lifeteen, we strive to lead our teens closer to Christ with each ministry we provide for the youth.

 Our Confirmandi will be sealed with the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit (Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, Counsel, Fortitude(Courage), Fear of the Lord (Wonder & Awe), and Piety (Reverence).  The Gifts will help them bear witness to Him before the world and build the body of Christ.
 Confirmandi will get involved in community service, and volunteer their time, treasure, and talent.
 Confirmation is not an end to church involvement and faith development. On the contrary, Confirmation is another step in the ongoing commitment to what it means to be a Christian and follower of Jesus.

Service Hours:
 2nd Year Confirmandi= 10hrs with/at Prince of Peace Community (1 service to be completed with small group):
 1st Year Confirmandi= 8 hrs
 For all service hours done this form needs to be filled out in its entirety and handed in for hours to count.

Adoration Hours: 4hrs
Retreats: Commit to attending two retreats if you are a 2nd year with a 1-weekend Retreat mandatory. 1st-year Confirmandi need only to attend 1 Retreat. 

Absences: Regular attendance at Confirmation nights are expected. If you are absent more than 3 times you will need to schedule a meeting with the Youth Minister(please communicate to the Youth Minister when and why you will be missing).  All the nights you miss will need to be made up after a discussion with the youth minister.
