Areas to Serve

Peace Cor 4:12:  Persons who desire to engage youth in their faith by sharing life experiences, doing skits, being group leaders on retreats, being small group facilitators, and many more opportunities.   Please contact Irma Arvizo by email - iarvizo@popabq.org  to join our Peace Core 

Music Ministry/ Choir/ Cantors/ Instrumentalists:  Persons who love to sing and plan an instrument for our worship service and desire to grow in their understanding and appreciation of the liturgy.

Altar Server:  Youth and Adults who desire to serve at the altar and assist other ministers in setting up the altar before Mass, assisting at the Eucharist.

Greeters/ Hospitality/ Ushers:  Persons who like people, and serve as the “face” of the parish in welcoming all those who enter for the celebrations of Mass.

Proclaimers of the Word/ Lectors:  Persons who have some skill at public speaking and are comfortable speaking before a large group.  We encourage individuals who are willing to grow in this ministry and desire to deepen their understanding of the liturgy and of Sacred Scripture to consider becoming lectors.

Announce the Prayers of the faithful at the 5 pm Mass.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion:  Persons who desire to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to the assembly at the weekend liturgy and are open to bringing communion to the sick and homebound.
