Good Friday Meditative
Walk in the Sandias

Join families of the parish in the Way of the Cross as we pray, reflect and journey in the Passion of the Lord. We will gather at PoP at 9 am and returning for Good Friday services at 3 pm. In Domingo Baca Canyon, next to a mountain stream, we will have a guided contemplation of our Lord's Passion. Stations of the Cross and the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary will be recited. Holy Thursday Adoration Signup

We will sponsor an all-night Adoration on Holy Thursday from 9pm to Good Friday at noon. To sign up, contact Christine Sena at 505-828-9495 or God bless you and thank you for all you do.

Novena to the Divine Mercy
begins on Good Friday

Deacon Leandro will begin the Novena to the Divine Mercy after the 3 pm Good Friday Service. The recitation of the Novena will continue in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at 3 pm every day and conclude on Saturday April 26th.

Wednesday Bible Study
connects with India Orphanage

The Wednesday Bible study class recently donated 64 pairs of flip flops to a girls orphanage in Mumbai India. The orphanage, supported by the Aasha Foundation, supports 35 girls who attend private schools including eight who are attending university.
Elena, the daughter of Antonio & Tina Sanchez -- PoP members, lives in Mumbai and volunteers at the orphanage.

    PoP Relief Boat-building for Philippine Disaster

    Deacon Leandro & Tessie showed a model of one of the new fishing boats that PoP members donated to help locals in the recovery from Typhoon Haian last November. Overall, over $25,000 raised to provide for boat construction and relief.

    No Meeting on Holy Saturday!

    TMIY [That Man is You] Men's ministry continues the Spring sessions in conjunction with both Annunciation and Risen Savior Parishes. The initial sessions were hosted at Prince of Peace with about 50 men in attendance.
    Last Spring Session is April 26th at Annunciation at 7:30am!

    Making Rosaries -- For Missions

    Come, help us making rosaries for the missions! Join us on Wednesdays after the 9 am Mass. We will start teaching wire rosaries in the month of May. Cord teaching at any meeting. For more information, call Barbara D. Amore at 797-4388

    EDGE Youth visit Good Shepherd Homeless Shelter

    Our PoP youth involved in THE EDGE program visited a homeless shelter with R.E. Director Irma Arviso on Saturday, March 29th. Included were Noah Rodney, Thomas Brown, Krista Benze, Vanessa San Miguel, Abraham Necaechea, and Lauryn Arvizo. The youth took time from their Saturday morning to visit and serve the homeless who came to the Brothers of the Good Shepherd. EDGE Mid-School youth felt blessed to minister to wonderful people and children of God. For many, it was a reality experience to see how others survive.

    A Tour of St. Peters Square and Basilica with Fr. Jeffrey Kirby features the Vatican's history and artistic masterpieces, with focused spiritual awareness. Fr.     Living the Eucharist Small Groups
    17 Groups at PoP

    Prince of Peace small faith-sharing groups entitled "Living the Eucharist" wraps up this week. We had great participation with 17 small groups underway. The program was developed by the Paulist Fathers and includes weekly scriptural meetings each week of Lent.
    Through Lectio Divina (divine reading), "Living the Eucharist" it reawakens the parish to the power of the Holy Spirit while building up the Body of Christ. For more information visit
